English Speech about Education.
السَّلاَمُ
عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

the Committee of english speech contest...
And happy
audience…
Firstly, let’s pray and thank to Allah SWT who has given
us mercies and blessing, so we can attend and gather in this place in a good
condition and happy situation.
Secondly, my
peace and salutation always be given to our prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided
us from the darkness to the lightness, from the stupidity to the cleverness,
from the jahiliyah to the islamiyah namely Islam .
Thirdly, I don’t forget to say , thank you very much to
the master of ceremony who has given me
time to speech in front of you all.
Ladies and gentlemen...
Standing in front of you all I would like to speech under the title
“THE PROBLEM OF OUR NATIONAL EDUCATION “
Happy audience..
I have a question
for you.
Has the result of
education in Indonesia been satisfying?
The answer is not
yet….
You know, the
result of our education is supposed to create students who are afraid and get
close to Alloh and have high quality in mastering science and technology.
Like Alloh said in
the Holly Qur’an.
الله الذِيْنَ
امَنُوا مِنـْكُمْ وَالّذِيْنَ اُوتُو الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَـتٍ يَرْفَعِ
The meaning is :
“Alloh will give
you ample, and when it is said ; Raise up, then raise up. Alloh will exalt
those of you who believe, and those who are given knowledge, in high degrees,
and Alloh is aware of what you do “
Happy brothers and
sisters.
However, what a
pity when we see the reality that the result is nothing but juvenile
delinquency has increased, such as ; making a date, student fighting, drug
abuse, and many others.
Happy brothers and
sisters….
There are only a
few number of students who are serious in their study. We can count by fingers
of our friends who are smart and get close to Alloh.
Then, why does
this condition happen?
This problem
appears because of many kind of aspects. The first thing is about the
educational system in Indonesia. No doubt, our education tends to imitate the
western countries that separate between the religious lesson and the worldly
affairs.

It is also a pity
that the religious lesson only gets a small amount of time in the schedule,
only two hours a week (we find this schedule in SD, SMP, SMA or SMK).
The second aspect
that contributes to the problem is the family and the environment has lack
attention to the students. Today, there are many mothers who are busy working
and ignore the children. The environment is also permissive to some juvenile
delinquency, such as they are drinking alcoholic drink, smoking, narcotic and
etc.

We must try to
solve the problem, so we will not become the next victim. We must think over
the cause of the problems and overcome these before they get worse. The
governments should rethink about the educational program and give more portions
to religious and personality lesson.

So the teachers,
family and society should be more serious in teaching and paying attention to
the students or the young generations. They need to learn religious early in
their time.
No-one is perfect in the world. And Alloh is the only
one who has the perfectness. as long as
I speak here, if you found many
mistake of my speaking, from the deepest of my heart I really apologize
to you all. Thank you very much for your attention.
