I've used it for my students when they participated in English Speech Contest.

Good Morning
everybody
الحمد لله، الحمد لله الذي نستعينه ونستغفروه ونعوذ بالله من سرور أنفسنا
ومن سيئات أعمالنا من يهده الله فلا مضلله ومن يضلله فلا هديا له.
أشهد أن لا إله الا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمد عبده ورسوله، رب
اشرخ لي صدري ويسرلي أمري واحلل عقدة من لساني يفقه قولي
Fisrt of all, let us praise to the Almighty Alloh SWT, because of
His Blessing we are able to attend this contest without any obstacles in a good
condition.
Secondly, may peace be upon the prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided
us from the darkness into the brightness that is Islam.
I also would like to say many thanks to the juries and Master of
Ceremony who have given me opportunity to deliver an English speech in front of
you all.

Gentlemen,
Standing in front of you all, I would like to deliver
my speech under the title
“ SAVE OUR EARTH, SAVE OUR FOREST”
Ladies and
Gentlemen
As we know, people
from all over the world always commemorate Earth Day every 22nd
April. The idea of earth day is based on the awareness to save this world from
the environmental destruction. It aims at making global movements to
participate actively in saving our earth-the only planet in which we live.
Our country Indonesia which is known as the emerald of equator has
an important role to keep the balance of world ecological system.63 percent or
1,131,000 km2 of our land territory is
forest. Meanwhile the water area is more than 317,000,000 km2, 17
percent of world plant and animal species live in Indonesia. It indicates that
the ecosystem and environmental condition in Indonesia will affect the world.
In the other words, the environment damage in Indonesia will influence the
sustainability of the world.
Ladies and
Gentlemen
One of the causes of the environmental damage is deforestation or
known ad the destruction of forest. The deforestation has caused many disasters
in this world, including Indonesia. They
are flood, earthquake, landslide and others, are the examples of dangerous disasters
which make us realize that the existence of forest is very important.
In addition, another effect of deforestation is related with the
goal warming or increase of global surface temperature which is mainly caused
by the greenhouse effects. We all know , one of the most crucial issued in
celebrating Earth Day is the global warming. It warns us that our earth is in
danger and we should participate actively to take care of our environment.
Dear juries and
audience…
We must protect our environment as good as possible because it can
influence our lif, as we know Indonesia has many tropical forest and it is a
source of nature which can help people live peacefully, so as human being we
should preserve he forest, As Alloh said in holy Qur’an :
( Ar-Rum: 41)
Dzoharol fasaadu fil barri wal bahri bimaa kasabat aidinnaas...
There are some
efforts which should be done by all people:
1.
No cutting
down the trees in the forest or illegal logging
2.
Planting
many kinds of trees in barren forest area.
Well… ladies and gentlemen…
You know that cutting down the trees in the forest can
cause many disasters for human beings. Of course it can cause flood because the
rain can be absorbed by the plant’s root, so the water will flow to the ground
directly. There are many damage causes by the flood , many people are homeless
because of flood, the flood can kill many kind of pet, many factories can’t
produce anything, transportation can’t run well because the brigde is broken
and so on. How horrible the flood is……
Actually, the disasters above can be minimized if all
human beings can preserve our environment and we must pay more attention to the
environment whenever and wherever, we must not throw away the rubbish, anywhere
which can disturb the flowing of the river. We should plant many kinds of trees
in the barren area or in the bank of the road. By doing those simple efforts,
it means we have participated to the preservation of our environment.
Ladies and gentlemen …
Now, The question is, what is the relationship between
Earth Day, Global warming, deforestation and Indonesia, Anybody know? …….Ok
Indonesia lies in the equator between the tropic of Cancer and
Capricorn, because of it’s location, Indonesia is rich of rain forest.
Scientists states that the function of rain forest is the lung of the world,
they absorb greenhouse gas emissions, turn Carbon dioxide (CO2) into oxygen
(O2). It means that if the deforestation keeps going on and the
greenhouse effect cannot be reduced. Finally the global warming will keep
increasing on and on.

We live in the same world in this earth. The importance
of saving our environment especially our rainforest in the need for all of us,
for human being to survive. It is not only for us but also for our next
generation.
